Giving Back To The Local Community Through Our Training


Recently, the training team at Compliance Training Ltd, based in Bury, Greater Manchester, have been working in Bury and giving back to the local community by delivering outstanding training courses.

A first example of just some of the free training they’ve carried out is at Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester. Silvana, Director of Compliance Training Ltd, delivered a Basic Life Support First Aid training course and they received amazing feedback for this training from Carla:

‘Thank you to Silvana for supporting Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice with her training session at the back end of last year. We found the day to be really enjoyable and really liked the way that Silvana had a range of training techniques included throughout the morning opposed to PowerPoint slide after PowerPoint slide. It offered a good opportunity for us all to reflect on our own strengths whilst highlighting areas for development which, going forward, will make us a stronger team.’

During the careers fair, Silvana discussed what she does day-to-day in her job training and as the business owner of Compliance Training Ltd. Another Basic Life Support First Aid training course that Silvana delivered was to the retired Italian and Polish community, following a medical emergency that unfortunately happened, which highlighted a training gap in their First Aid knowledge.
This training course was extremely beneficial to the people of the Bury based social club and they now feel more educated to give First Aid, should they be faced with an emergency.

    Hi, How else can businesses give back to the community?
    Comment below on what you've been up to support your local community.

    We have previously also supported another local charity Bury and Manchester Homeless with our training courses.
    We provided free training for them including our Food Safety Training Courses and First Aid Training. We delivered this to them in Bury Greater Manchester, where many of their volunteers are based.
    We have also provided free training to our local brownies group on a couple of occasions. This was also our First Aid training courses, which was delivered at a basic life support level for the young brownies :)

    Obviously we are using our training services to enhance knowledge in these Greater Manchester, Bury and Radcliffe based charities. What services/products do you supply that you use to help the community?

This was to demonstrate how easy it is to go from a having a happy employee, to one that is injured at work and now prosecuting!! This was used to demonstrate the importance of Health and Safety Awareness Training in the workplace. Props - I used a CPR mannequin as a ventriloquist dummy to read my pitch...
